Located in Calgary's Chinatown, the Chinese Cultural Centre
is one of the largest cultural centres in Canada. The central dome has been patterned after the
Temple of Heaven in Beijing and is decorated with intricate tile work depicting a golden dragon, 60 feet above the floor. The museum and gallery provide the visitor with a historical overview of the
Chinese culture. The centre has classrooms, a library and meeting rooms for the Chinese community
and provides a gift store and restaurant for the public.
